 University Chapel at Noon

A dynamic worshipping community has been created at Shenandoah University. Students, Faculty, Staff, and their families worship together.

ancient & emerging, diverse & unified, safe & challenging, artful & thoughtful, playful & profound

Sundays at noon in Goodson Chapel.

“The Chapel services at Shenandoah are just what a student at college needs. It gives us time, not only to see our friends and take a break from school work, but more importantly, time to worship and re-charge our spiritual batteries.”
- Tyler Orebaugh, Sociology major

Wednesday Nights at 10 p.m. in Goodson Chapel

Wednesday Night Live! (WNL) is called to refresh, invigorate and revive the spiritual life of our United Methodist heritage and Christian faith on this campus. We seek to do this through fellowship, worship and study within the student body, faculty and staff. Through worship together, testimony and proclamation of the Word of God, we hope to become more like the Kingdom of God. The vision of WNL is to bring students into a closer relationship with Christ and each other in a relaxed setting through weekly worship, prayer and study opportunities. The main goal is to provide a relax atmosphere where students will feel the presence of God through music, scripture reading, reflection and prayer.

“WNL gives us, as students, a midpoint during the week to reflect on ourselves, including our actions and the point we are at with our relationship with the Lord. The speakers of WNL are people who have either been in our shoes at one point or our carrying the same burden we have and by sharing their experiences of how they dealt with questions of faith and tough times it helps one to leave the service with a more focused goal and plan to take the path God has for us, one step at time.”
- Dan Beard, history/Kinesiology major, SU class of 2011
